Average Accident Rates

The tables contain accident rates for State Highways, based on facility type and intersection type. Note that the first three pages show rates expressed in accidents per MVM (million vehicle miles) for linear highway sections where intersections may or may not be located within the analysis limits (be sure to use the correct portion of the table; see footnotes at the bottom of the pages). The last two pages show rates expressed in accidents per MEV (million entering vehicles), and apply only to intersection/interchange accidents.
